DELIVERING A NEW APPROACH THAT
RESULTS IN LASTING MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES

Nick Androulidakis (he/him)

Alongside managing the financial and operational aspects of Habitus, I focus on the commercial sector, developing workplace mental health solutions for businesses. It’s very rewarding to assess how a business takes care of its staff, suggest improvements and promote the idea that a happy, thriving workforce inevitably leads to greater business success, too.

My background…

My first-hand experience of working in a number of settings, including financial services, the charitable sector and in industry, showed me that we can do things better. Mental health has an impact that isn’t being discussed enough. Yet, solutions exist that aren’t being looked into. It’s all about getting the balance right.

My role at Habitus includes the day-to-day running of the company, but I’m also equally passionate about providing great wellbeing support to businesses. People in a commercial setting have the same issues as anyone else, they just bring them to a different working environment.

How I can help…

At Habitus, we successfully use our knowledge and tools in a variety of settings to create positive, long-term change. I bring that know-how to a wider commercial audience, providing businesses with mental health strategies and new ways to improve employee relations and increase productivity.

I also love working with people, building and maintaining good relationships with clients and finding solutions to their problems. Likewise, I’m proud of the client base we’ve built up and it’s rewarding to be able to really help people with their mental health needs.

The future of mental health care…

Workplace mental health and wellbeing is an area that is going to see fundamental change over the next few years. It will be much more visible and hopefully something that can be talked about freely and openly, not an issue that needs to be hidden.

I also think mental health support in the workplace, such as peer support groups, will become something that you don’t have to seek out. It will be so ingrained in company structures that it’ll become commonplace and available to everyone, as standard. The future looks a lot more inclusive and companies will hopefully start dealing with employees’ mental health needs head-on. There will also be a better understanding of, and significant improvement in, how they address them.
